Covid-19: Active cases continue to decline in Portugal

COVID-19: ACTIVE CASES CONTINUE TO DECLINE IN PORTUGAL - Dr PhotoFor 22 consecutive days, the number of recoveries exceeds that of new infections.

Yesterday, Portugal registered 61 deaths related to Covid-19 and 549 new cases of infection with the new Coronavirus, the lowest number since October 6th 2020, according to the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Active cases in Portugal continue to decline. Today Portugal has 80,642 active cases, down 1,699.

Since March 2020, Portugal has recorded 16,023 deaths associated with Covid-19 and 798,074 cases of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus.

Health authorities have 79,699 contacts under surveillance, 6,702 less than in the previous day, with a downward trend since January 30th.

According to the latest data from the Directorate-General for Health, Portugal currently has 432,414 vaccinated with the first dose and 247,843 with the second dose.

You're right the 680257 figure is the total number of vaccines administered not the total number of people vaccinated. Either ADN translated it incorrectly or it got the wrong information.

Think you will find trevor, that 432,414 have been given the first dose, and 247,843 of the people who received the first dose have now received the second dose.
I suppose these figures should be printed in bold letters for those people, who are unable to read good facts about our lovely host country of Portugal.
