Vaccine self-scheduling site now available for people over 65

Vaccine self-scheduling site now available for people over 65As of today, self-scheduling of the vaccination against Covid-19 is available for people over 65 years of age, through an internet portal created for the purpose.

It is possible to choose the place where the person wants to be vaccinated, but is solely for the age group 65+.

CLICK HERE to visit the portal.

"When users make this option, they are presented with the first available date, and users can accept it or choose a more convenient one" stated Shared Services of the Ministry of Health that developed the platform.

In the event that there are no vacancies available, users can choose to stay on the waiting list at that vaccination point or choose a date at another vaccination point.

Subsequently, the user who made this registration will receive an SMS with the precise time when they will be vaccinated on the day and at the chosen vaccination point. The sending of the message is dependent on whether the user has not yet been summoned for vaccination, or has not contracted Covid-19.

According to the weekly vaccination report, released by the DGS on Tuesday, 2,015,225 people have already taken the first dose, while 689,329, representing 7% of the population, already have complete vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

By age group, 91% of the elderly over 80 years old (617,566 people) are already vaccinated with the first dose and 58% (394,186) have already received both doses of the vaccine.

In the age group between 65 and 79 years old, 42% (669,263) also received the first dose of the drug, a percentage that drops to just 4% (59,658) with regard to the two doses.

Of the group of people between 50 and 64 years old, 16% (355,519) took the first dose and 4% (84,810) had the complete vaccination against Covid-19, while in the age group 25 to 49 years 10% (345,865) ) have already received their first dose and 4% (138,923) are fully vaccinated.
