A new project, Link-a-ring, has been launched in Portimão, the first Commercial Kitchens Co-working space in the Algarve, renting foreclosed restaurants, and giving those looking to open a takeaway or delivery service the chance of going to market much faster and with low risk.
This concept already exists in Lisbon and in the UK, but due to the pandemic forcing the foreclosure of many restaurants in the Algarve, the project has been kickstarted here.
In a nutshell, Link-a-ring rent restaurants that are closed, facelift them inside and divide the kitchens by schedule and daily periods, and then provide a short term rental service to entrepreneurs that want to test their concept or food product.
Why is this a great idea? In order, to test a product or a concept on the market, it is mandatory to have a certified kitchen, but that has a high investment cost. This project breaks down this barrier, creating an all-in-one rental service.
The first kitchen concept is already working, which is a Poke House called iTi Poke.
Starting at 850€ + taxes, in the 1st location in Portimão, an entrepreneur has access to a full equipped and licensed kitchen, office space and a photo studio.
