A 35 years old man, suspected of drug trafficking and homicide managed to escape, yesterday afternoon, via the back door of the Judiciary Police (PJ) station in Faro.
"The 35-year-old suspect had been approached by PJ officers and been taken to the station to confirm his identity, he was not detained," explained a spokesperson.
When the PJ realised that the suspect had an international arrest warrant pending, the man had already managed to escape from the Judiciary Police premises.
The suspect, Fernando Domingues, of Portuguese ancestry and French nationality, fled and is again being sought in the region by the Judiciary Police and other security forces and services.
