Domino's Pizza is coming to the Algarve

Postal.pt - DOMINO'S PIZZA IS COMING TO THE ALGARVEThe American brand Domino's Pizza will be opening in the Algarve Outlet, in Olhão, when the restructured and renamed Ria Shopping complex reopens later this year.

“This store is the first of Domino's Pizza in the Algarve and can be seen from the street with an outside terrace”, told the real estate consultant, Savills, who assisted Domino's in the purchase of the unit.

The US brand Domino's Pizza currently has 44 stores across Portugal.

The future Ria Shopping will have around 14,000 square metres spread over two floors (ground floor and 1st floor) and will be equipped with a diversified selection of retail outlets, seeking to meet the needs and interests of the approximately 45 thousand inhabitants of Olhão.

The 2nd floor will be reserved for an international hotel operator, a gym, a health clinic and other similar businesses.

The Ria Shopping project will be developed in 2 phases. The shopping area is expected to open its doors, fully renovated, this year 2022 and the opening of the hotel unit is scheduled for 2023.

Maria Luísa Branco, Retail Associate at Savills Portugal, explains that “with the pandemic, the paradigm shift in Shopping Centers has accelerated. We are witnessing a change in consumer habits and, increasingly, as a result of teleworking and the decrease in contact between people. The shopping process is more of an act of necessity than a leisure experience.”
