The Minister of Health spoke this morning about Portugal reaching a new phase of the covid-19 pandemic and suggested there may be some further lifting of measures, with a new testing policy and a review of masks being mandatory.
“As fast as possible and as slowly as necessary”, said Marta Temido, Minister of Health, about the possible easing of restrictions, in statements to journalists after this mornings' Infarmed meeting, which brought together experts and policymakers to assess the evolution of the epidemiological situation.
Summarising the conclusions of the meeting, the Minister of Health said that the country is already in a new phase of the covid-19 pandemic, despite admitting that there are still many uncertainties, opening the door to the review of the measures currently in force.
Specifically, she mentioned a new testing policy, the evaluation of contexts in which the mandatory use of a mask may removed and the change in situations in which the presentation of the digital certificate is required.
