Police arrested four young people yesterday, for assaulting then kidnapping a 29 year old man by bundling him in the boot of a car.
The two women and two men, aged between 16 and 23, were caught by the Ourique GNR, driving south from Aveiro after reports of the crime came in from the police of Gafanha do Carmo, Aveiro.
The Ourique GNR intercepted the vehicle in Ourique after activating patrols at the main road junctions.
The victim required hospital assistance and was taken to the nearest hospital.
The detainees were taken to the GNR station and later handed over to the Judiciary Police (PJ).
