Passport Office workers across the UK are set to strike for five weeks from early April, which is likely to have a ‘significant impact’ on delivery times of passport applications and renewals.
The government workers are planning to strike for five weeks in an escalation of a dispute over jobs, pay and conditions.
Workers in passport offices in Durham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Newport, Peterborough and Southport will strike from 3rd April to 5th May, while those in Belfast will strike from 7th April to 5th May.
