HUNDREDS OF OLIVEIRA FANS SHOW HIM A WARM WELCOMEHundreds of motorcyclists came together again this Wednesday, to welcome and escort Miguel Oliveira on the short journey from the Pavilhão do Arade in Parchal, to the celebrations to mark the beginning of the Moto GP 2023, at the riverside area of ​​Portimão.

Coming from all parts of the country, several hundred fans took part in the welcome ride, ahead of this weekends MotoGP, the first of the season, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. 

A travelling welcome party brought the local population to the streets, who once again gave Miguel Oliveira all the affection and support that the Portuguese always give to their heroes. 

Luca Marini, Marco Bezzechi, Ayumu Sasaki, Diogo Moreira, Jaume Masia, Pedro Acosta, Jake Dixon, Deniz Oncu and, of course, Miguel Oliveira were the riders who attended the stage at the event held at the Portimão Riverside Zone, as Paulo Pinheiro, the CEO from Parkalgar and Isilda Gomes, the Mayor of Portimão officially 'opened' the GP Tissot de Portugal 2023 programme.

“It's always very special to race in Portugal and Portimão. Being here at the opening of the championship in a new era and with a new team is a challenge, and I naturally want to repay all this affection and support in the best way next Sunday”, said Oliveira.

The MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix 2023, the premier class of the motorcycling World Championship, takes place from Friday 24th March to Sunday 26th March, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, with over 150,000 spectators expected to attend, according to the organizers of the event.
