After a brutal collision with an EDP steel pole, the driver of a new Tesla electric vehicle has said that “if this was a different car, we would not be here”.
Less than a week before getting married, the couple and a friend were on their way home when the vehicle was crushed by an EDP steel pole, which bent in three and ripped through the car, lodging on top of the car as it fell into a ditch.
According to his post left on a social network in the Tesla Club Portugal group, “the three of us survived with only a few physical injuries from the crash. Whoever went to the place couldn't quite understand why we were intact”.
He says he received his Tesla Model Y on February 11th and in just over a month and 5,500 km he was “blown away by the experience and paradigm of driving the car. Anyone who followed the months of me waiting knows that on more than one occasion I cancelled the order because 'the front isn't very nice', and then 'it's going to be a hassle to install the charging point at home'. But one topic that is often not taken into account: SAFETY”.
“I can say with absolute certainty that I, my fiancée and a friend are alive thanks to the safety of the car's structure. ”
This 'lucky' driver confesses that he thought “a lot before sharing his experience online, but in the end the feeling of help for those who are still in doubt whether to buy a Tesla outweighed any doubts”.
Finally, he said “For those who are reading this, wondering whether or not to buy a Tesla, the only thing I can say is that the marriage will go ahead because the car saved us. Now it is time to celebrate love”.
