Portuguese policeman attacked at a children's football tournament

PORTUGUESE POLICEMAN ATTACKED AT A CHILDREN'S FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTAn argument between a policeman and another man, both allegedly Portuguese, ended in a fight at an international children's football and rugby tournament in Cádiz, Spain at the weekend.

The first reports suggested that the attack was carried out with the use of a bladed weapon, however, it turns out it was with a 'selfie stick'.

The incident, which is already viral on social media, was filmed and in the pictures it is possible to see one of the men repeatedly attacking the other.

The men were fathers of children participating in the event.

A third-party spectator stopped the aggressor from hitting the victim, and the aggressor ended up being expelled from the venue and prevented from entering the remaining games of the tournament by the organiser of the Ibercup Andalucía 2023.

Witnesses stated that security at the site was non-existent, even though the 7 day event had 3,000 participants from teams from various countries, such as Portugal, Spain , Sweden and Australia.
