The IPMA have issued yellow warning in most of the districts throughout the country, due to storm Irene, expected to hit the mainland tomorrow.
The forecast of sometimes heavy rain, which may be accompanied by thunder and strong winds, will cause disturbances until the end of the day on Wednesday.
The districts of Viseu, Évora, Porto, Guarda, Faro, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, Coimbra, Portalegre and Braga will be under yellow warning on Tuesday and Wednesday and Friday due to strong winds, with gusts of up to 75 kilometres per hour (km/h) expected, and up to 95 km/h in the highlands.
