The Ferragudo Parish Council, in collaboration with Margudo, concessionaire of the land for the future Ferragudo Marina, have prepared land at the entrance to the town, giving much needed parking space for cars.
Now providing 80 new parking spaces, the project involved new signage, clearing and preparation of the land, and signage, costing more than €10,000 from the parish budget to complete.
“The need for parking in tourist towns increases exponentially with their notoriety, since the increase in the flow of tourists combined with the needs of citizens residing there tends to reduce parking close to services and restaurants”, explains the parish council.
This new temporary parking solution is located at Angrinha beach, Ferragudo and is expected to ease the parking situation substantially through the summer period.
