A fire that broke out yesterday evening in a warehouse in Vale Covo, Boliqueime, spread to the house next door, causing a 70 year old man to fall and suffer minor injuries and rendering one person homeless.
The alert for the incident was given at 18:52 last night, for a fire at a warehouse containing hardware and hotel & restaurant equipment. It was brought under control at 20:45, according to a source from Civil Protection.
The fire unfortunately also spread to a house next to the warehouse, which partially burned down. The owner of the property will stay with relatives.
Elements of the Loulé, Albufeira and Messines Fire Departments, as well as elements of the GNR, were deployed to combat the fire.
