There will be restrictions on road traffic along Estrada de Paderne, between Ferreiras and Cerro do Ouro, until April 11th, due to the replacement of large diameter water supply pipes.
The contract assignment, which was signed on Tuesday, January 28th, estimates that the works will last 11 months, with an investment of more than four million euros of which €3,565,596.71 are under the PRR.
“The water supply pipes are large and are responsible for transporting drinking water to tanks for later distribution to homes. Water leaks are usually in the pipes, and are usually in considerable quantities, so it was urgent to renovate them,” explains the mayor of Albufeira, José Carlos Rolo.
Due to the constraints that the work may cause, the mayor appeals for everyone's understanding and thanks the residents for their collaboration. Given the type of work to be carried out, the local authority informs that occasional interruptions to the water supply in the intervention area may occur.
