The former “Lugar do Rio” restaurant, located next to the Arade River and next to the Portimão Arena, is to be made in to a new Youth Space for the young people in the area.
Portimão's Mayor, Álvaro Bila, announced the plans on Saturday, at the opening ceremony of another edition of Março Jovem.
The short deadline is “in a month’s time - we will all be here to inaugurate the new Youth Space”.
In addition to this new space, the auditorium located nextdoor will also be available to young people and their associations. The surrounding area will also be subject to some work, so that it can accommodate a children's playground, a 3*3 basketball court, a street workout, a picnic area and another sports area for families.
