The Portimão Judicial Police have arrested a man, aged 41, and two women, aged 36 and 38, suspected of being responsible for a robbery and kidnapping on 21st May, at a house in the western Algarve.
According to the PJ, “the suspects, following instructions from one of the perpetrators, who knew the house and that there was money and valuables in it, forced entry into the house at a time when the victim was alone, handcuffing her with extreme violence”.
With the victim “immobilized and locked in one of the rooms”, the individuals searched the house, “stealing a few hundred euros and some valuables”. They fled the scene “immediately afterwards”.
The police state that, after becoming aware of the crime, it carried out “immediate investigations, which allowed the identification and location of the perpetrators of the crime, who were later arrested”.
Police managed to “recover some of the stolen objects, with the exception of the money”.
