A man died and his son was injured following an accident between a car and two motorcycles, shortly before 2:00 am on Saturday morning.
The collision occurred when a car crashed into the two motorbikes at a junction on the EN125, near Santa Luzia in Tavira, causing the road to be closed for several hours.
Around 30 members of the Tavira and Vila Real de Sto. António Fire Department, the National Emergency Department (INEM), the GNR and the road concession company rushed to the scene.
The father's death was confirmed at Faro Hospital, his son was also taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.
