The Municipality of Lagoa has strengthened its network of Automated External Defibrillators, installing 8 new defibrillators, strategically distributed throughout the municipality's parishes.
These 8 new devices are in addition to the 14 that were already in place, in various municipal buildings, public service spaces, sports and cultural facilities.
The measure aims to "expand geographic coverage, ensure a faster response in cases of cardiorespiratory arrest and directly benefit local communities," explains a statement from the Municipality.
Additionally, training sessions were held for approximately 60 participants, including municipal employees, GNR officers, and citizens in general. "The goal is to equip citizens with skills that enable rapid, effective, and safe intervention in emergency situations," the municipality emphasized.
New training sessions are planned, as the greater the number of people able to use this equipment, the greater the likelihood of success in assisting victims of cardiorespiratory arrest.
