Portugal loses 60,000 people

airplaneThe population of all 28 nations of the EU was estimated to be 507.4 million at the beginning of this year.

In January last year, the figure was estimated at 505.7 million, according to Eurostat.

The growth was due to an increase in net migration of 700,000 as well as a natural increase of 80,000.

Eurostat says that the population has increased by some 100 million since 1960.

Portugal’s population at the beginning of the year was 10,427,300. This was a decrease of 60,000 from the January before.

During the year, there were 82,800 births as against 106,500 deaths. But the figures also show there was a decrease in net migration. Some 36,200 more people left the country than entered it.

Many of these will have been some of the nation’s youth attempting to find work in other countries. Also included in the number will be those expats who have left Portugal.

Portugal’s birth rate was the lowest of any of its 27 fellow member countries. The rate was 7.9 per 1,000 inhabitants.

Throughout the EU, 15 countries registered increases in their populations. Luxembourg, Malta, Sweden, Austria and the UK had the highest net migrations.

Conversely, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Ireland, Spain, Greece and Portugal experienced the greatest numbers of residents leaving compared to numbers arriving.

For all the 5 million babies born in the year, the highest rates were in Ireland, France, the UK, and Sweden.

Following on from Portugal with the EU’s lowest rate were Germany, Greece and Italy.

Everything claimed to work like clockwork !!!

G does not mention the 'Frog in hot water' syndrome' known to any business management student.

Where you have a mindset, created for you by the British Govt. and EU publicity - that all EU states - regardless of history or stage of social and economic deveopment - are all alike in wanting such development and that equality is paramount - so anti-racism programmes vigorously applied.

Then you come to Portugal with your life savings and retirement pensions and run into .... being a 'Living Wallet'.

Believing for ages that, as locals tell you, you have met 'a bad 'un' - all countries have them including the UK. Very untypical Then you meet another. Then his cousin. So it goes on over the months and years ...

Then other Brits tell you their experiences .... and you learn of something called 1890 Pink Map.

All vital for British to know for a Referendum !!!

If only the British Government surveyed expats returning from other EU countries. To find out which ones genuinely tried to integrate the Brits into their economies - as an income generator, the main purpose of the EU - and those which made less or no attempt.

Be clear that these potentially active 'Walking wallets' are entirely different to those EU states happy to accept retired 'Walking Wallets'

This is vital information for any IN / OUT UK referendum about EU membership !!

It would also knock on the head once and for all whether there are countries with secret Anti Brit agenda's .... and how seriously a Brit should know about them.

Check out the expat websites to witness the 'grooming' of Brits thinking of coming to say, Portugal, by teams of full blooded natives !

Scary .... never the slightest mention of the thousands who have lost everything here. Everything claimed to work like clockwork !!!
