Lorenzo Carvalho, the self-professed millionaire living off a family business of cosmetics and precious stones, and who gave an extravagant party in the Algarve which Pamela Anderson attended, has been using social media to apologise to all the people to whom he owes money.
The 22-year old Brazilian seems to have amassed a mountain of debt in Portugal and elsewhere but says he intends to pay back what he owes.
"Dear fans and friends, I write this post to share with you all my anxiety and depression. In recent months, my financial situation has become very difficult. Not knowing how best to manage my income I ended up owing hundreds of thousands of euros to my employees, partners and suppliers," began the refreshing honest explanation.
"I'm trying to pay all these people, but it is not easy. I hope everyone will forgive me. In the coming days, I will apologise to every single person that I failed so I can publically apologise," concluded Carvalho.
Perhaps his collection of cars, four Ferraris, a Bentley, and a Porsche Cayenne, if not already on HP, could be sold off.
Whether or not his family background has been verified, an aunt committing suicide, his grandmother drowning, an uncle burning to death in a car accident, he has caused a stir in Portugal, especially when announcing he was to buy the Estoril racing circuit.
Parpública, the state enterprise that deals with the sale of state assets, denied it had been approached by anyone wanting to buy the Estoril circuit, the last bid was rejected in 2007.
Carvalho’s ‘trust no one’ tattoo should perhaps have been heeded by those that seem to have advanced him credit.
