Ryanair attracted 9.4 million passengers during August, a record number for the carrier.
This was 4% up over August 2013.
On average, 93% of all its flights were full.
The increased numbers were no doubt aided by the company’s price war which it created after it had to issue two profit warnings last autumn.
After that, Ryanair tried also to turn over a new leaf by becoming a bit more user-friendly and introduced customer service improvements.
Passengers may now carry a small second bag, such as a handbag, on board for free and selecting a seat in advance for a small fee. Mercifully, the website was also upgraded making it less likely that someone would agree accidentally to purchasing something they did not want.
Ryanair is now going after more business passengers with its version of business class, a selection of perks rather than a specific cabin area with more room.
A spokesman said: "Ryanair traffic grew by 400,000 to a record 9.4 million customers in August, thanks to our lower fares and our improving customer experience, including our great new website and mobile app, allocated seating, a free second small carry-on bag and PED [portable electronic devices] use on all flights.
"The launch of our new family and business products have been extremely successful and have contributed significantly to these highest ever load factors in Ryanair's history."
