Police in Luxembourg, in collaboration with the French authorities, have arrested a prisoner who escaped from Portugal while serving a 15 year sentence for the murder of his daughter.
The arrest was made in Luxembourg on September 2nd - a European arrest warrant had been issued by the Portuguese authorities back in 2011 after the man escaped from prison.
According to the French police, the man was between 30 and 35 years old and had been living in the Uckange area in north eastern France near the Luxembourg border. He then had moved to Luxembourg where he had been living for several months.
The French police had been following clues since a breakthrough in August this year and the fugitive finally was arrested by the Luxembourg police, at the request of the French authorities.
According to the French police the man is being held in Luxembourg and is awaiting extradition to Portugal.
The Portuguese man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of his daughter, a crime committed in 2004.

But not allowed to be known within it ! That they cannot be trusted with this information - as with this current pedofilia disclosure debate in Portugal.
No wonder the Madeline McCann publicity was such a shock. It must have been so alien!
Yet now we have MAI saying it is onboard in the worldwide battle against global terrorism.
How exactly ??? if the Portuguese Police cannot identify to their public who they are searching for or interested in ? What help at all is that ?
Absolutely nothing can be disclosed that could be used to identify the terrorist ! No wonder the Basque Terrorists used to holiday here .... absolutely ideal !
