Berlin has captured the title of the top city in the world for fun, winning out over 1,800 other cities.
The poll asked 2,000 travellers to rank cities according to categories such as “bars”, “clubs”, “shopping”, “adult entertainment” and “activities”.
The survey also scrutinised data on various websites, such as TripAdvisor and Yelp.
London was the second most enjoyable city to visit and Paris the third.
In addition, four more European cities made it into the top ten – Hamburg, Rome, Vienna, and Barcelona
On individual categories, London scored highest for clubs and concerts, Tokyo for bars and shops and New York for activities. Moscow held top rank for its museums.
The survey was commissioned by GetYourGuide – a travel review website - and GoEuro – a booking agent.
