Iceland’s WOW Air is resuming its transatlantic fare of £99 from London to Washington DC and Boston.
Each destination will have a stop in Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital.
A WOW Air spokesperson said the layover in Iceland is about 75 minutes. The result is that flights to Boston take about three hours more than direct flights and five and half hours longer from Boston to London.
Flights to Washington will take two hours longer out and four hours return.
Sales were opened today, Wednesday, at 10am, with departure dates between October 1 and December 15, and January 10 and March 10 available.
Wow, a budget alternative to Air Iceland, first offered the £99 fares as an introductory offer last October. Those tickets, it said, sold quickly.
The flights from London to Reykjavik will be on the airline’s Airbus A320s, while the onward flights to the USA will be on its new fleet of Airbus A321s.
