With fewer rollovers leading to enormous jackpots in the EuroMillions lottery, British punters have shown less interest.
Camelot UK said that ticket sales fell in the six months to the end of September, bringing in £717 million for the period.
The lower sales also hit other Camelot results, reducing them by £40.6 million for a total of £2.2 billion in the six months.
Camelot blamed the fall in sales squarely on the low jackpots.
“We’ve only had three jackpots of over £50m in the last six months, in the first six months of last year we had 13 in the same period,” CEO Andy Duncan said.
