Three terrorists involved in the Paris attacks may be in Portugal.
Interpol has warned Lisbon that the suspects may have sought refuge in Portugal.
At least one man, possibly the leader of the three, is believed to be using a Belgian ID card, although the document could well be a fake, according to the Jornal de Notícias.
This man is said to have already been sought by police in Europe as it is believed he was one of two men who helped the missing terrorist Salah Abdeslam reach Hungary in September. Abdeslam is thought to have gone there on a recruitment mission.
Another is thought to be a French national aged 22 who was also involved in financing terrorism. Prior to the attacks in France, he had been listed as having fought for al-Qaeda in Syria.
It is believed that the trio managed to avoid being found by Belgian police who were searching for suspects after the November outrage. Jornal De Notícias reported that they left Belgium in a Citroen vehicle and may now be travelling with others, including children.
The men could possibly be “armed and dangerous”, according to the warning.
Jornal De Notícias also wrote that the warning had been confirmed by Spanish security services, although there has no confirmation from Spain’s interior ministry.
