Iran sets sights on building oil refinery in Spain

oilpricesIran is considering building an oil refinery in Algeciras on the Spanish coast, according to the Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo.

"Iran is studying the possibility of setting up a refinery in Spain, specifically in Algeciras," on the south coast, Garcia-Margallo said on Monday.

EU finally thinks to share criminal records of non-EU citizens

The European Commission announced that it will upgrade its database, the European Criminal Records Information System (ECRIS), adding information about criminal records of people from outside the EU.

Portugal to extradite former CIA officer wanted in Italy for kidnapping

6232A Portuguese court has ruled to extradite a former officer of the United States Central Intelligence Agency to Italy, where she faces charges of kidnapping a man as part of a secret operation.

Sabrina De Sousa, 59, was an accredited diplomat stationed at the US consulate in Milan, Italy, in 2003, when a CIA team kidnapped Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr from a Milan street in broad daylight.

Labour leader Corbyn demands release of Sikh from Portuguese jail

Singh has been held in a Portuguese prison for over a month after he was arrested while on holiday. The Indian authorities are  preparing a case for his extradition but seem to be in no great hurry.

Moroccan-owned sweatshops raided in Portugal

kalvinkleinmodelIn a joint operation between Spanish police and Portugal’s ASAE, simultaneous raid this morning have dismantled am efficient counterfeit clothing manufacturing and distribution network.

The factories in the north of Portugal, apparently owned and run by a Moroccan, were raided and yielded about 38,000 counterfeit items, including clothing, footwear, labels, etc., as well as six machines and close to €217,000 in cash.

One million holidaymakers used Airbnb to book breaks in Portugal
