World oil glut defeating smaller producers

The family of the Swedish founder of Ikea, Ingvar Kamprad, remains in the number one position with a fortune estimated at 45 billion francs, up by two billion francs from the year before.

Albufeira crash - one dead, one injured

inemA car skidded, left the road and flipped over in the early hours of Sunday morning near Ferreiras, north of Albufeira, leaving the driver dead and his son seriously injured, according to the local GNR.

The driver Rui Vale, 50, (pictured below) was the father of the 18-year-old who was rushed to Faro hospital where his condition is described as serious.

Former Portuguese MP found buried in makeshift grave

carlosmorgadoThe body of a former politician in the Madeira regional assembly, Carlos Morgado, has been found in a makeshift grave in the backyard of a house on the island. He had been cut into four sections and buried in black plastic bags.

According to the Judicial Police, the body was found on Thursday following a missing persons case that started in March this year and the arrest of two suspects, one of whom then revealed the location of the grave.
