Exclusive Algarve Villas - May Newsletter In the summer of 2018 a large part of Monchique and Silves county were devastated by massive forest fires. The Silves rotary club and Exclusive Algarve Villas have held various fund raising events to raise money to help the local fire department. Many fire departments depend on donations to purchase goods, substitute equipment and toward the replacement of (very old) fire trucks.

Sheena Rawcliffe and Bart van Linden have handed over a cheque towards the purchase of a fire engine which Silves bombeiros have purchased. Silves firedepartment commander, Antonio Nunes, was pleased with the support the local community and financial support given.
