This is a prestigious award given by The Blue Flag Foundation who work towards the sustainable development of beaches and marinas by enforcing a strict criteria which involves: water quality, environmental education and management, safety and other services.
Portugal has complied with and exceeded these standards and in doing so received the seal of excellence. This is the perfect example of how Portugal is making a conscious and proactive effort to enhance the lifestyle elements of the country as well as complying with environmental affairs. Many regions of Portugal are fast becoming some of the top destinations in Europe for tourists to visit and an ideal country to relocate and buy property.
