Santa Bárbara de Nexe is a stunning village situated north of Faro, just minutes away from the charming and historical town of Estoi. Over the years Santa Barbara has become a favoured area in which to buy property. There is a strong community feel here and the wide range of villas on offer from traditional cottages all the way up to brand new luxury villas has placed Santa Bárbara on the map as a must see area for many of our clients. The centre has a beautiful whitewashed church, along with lovely restaurants, cafés, pubs, a supermarket and bank and, with its proximity to Faro and the Golden Triangle, Santa Bárbara has lots to offer prospective new property owners.
São Brás with its mix of traditional and modern properties lies further inland and has an amazing countryside position. The older part is typically Algarvean with narrow cobbled streets and is home to a fashion history museum, exhibition gallery, cinema, medical centre, church and the Episcopal Palace. There is also a daily fresh food market. As you move further away from the town, the streets widen and more modern apartments and villas appear all the way to the top of the hill.
