The President of lettings advice specialist NALLE has had a first meeting with the representatives of its Portuguese counterpart, ALEP (www.alep.pt, in Portuguese).
This new association caters to Portuguese nationals who let their properties to tourists.
In contrast, NALLE serves primarily foreigners who engage in activity of Local Lodging. The two associations have agreed to work together and represent the Local Lodging industry to the relevant authorities in a united front.
The presidents of NALLE and ALEP had an initial meeting with the new Minister of Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho, in December of last year.
She expressed her intention to simplify some of the cumbersome aspects of the system to remove unnecessary obstacles and constraints.

What is NALLE?
The mission of the National Association of Local Lodging Establishments is to provide information and support to its members, enhance security and compliance in Local Lodging operations and provide collective representation to all of those engaged in Local Lodging in Portugal.
