The Algarve Tourism Association, responsible for promoting the region as a tourist destination, has launched the Algarve Meeting Industry - Facilities & Services Guide to promote the meetings industry to international markets while showcasing the Algarve as a location for professional events.
The new guide in English intends shows the region as a highly competitive and desirable choice for the meetings industry.
From a business or tourism perspective, the guide is an ideal reference for the sector to access and find the information needed to plan an event.
Locations, services, activities, climate, security and value for money all are outlined in an easy to use guide.
"Through this guide, any professional who is planning to choose a venue for an event, can realise the Algarve has an excellent response capacity for organising any type of initiative, offering a wide range of options.” commented Dora Coelho, the Association’s Executive Director.
“In addition to our capacity of 75,000 seats, spread over several locations suitable for the reception of congresses, conventions, meetings, incentives or even cultural and sporting events, the destination also offers, as a complementary offer, more than 40 golf courses, five marinas, a well-known racing circuit approved by FIA, 119 beaches or eight Michelin-starred restaurants. All these are attractive arguments in the decision-making process."
