At All Saints Church, Algarve we have just completed our third Alpha Course. The next course is due to start in September. Have you heard about Alpha? Would you like to find out more? Alpha is an enlightening series of talks shared in small groups to explore the meaning and questions many people have about life. Everyone has the opportunity to watch the excellent videos created by Alpha and afterwards hear about what others think of the ideas and questions that have been presented.
We began planning to run Alpha long before the Covid pandemic. As we all know, Covid and the ensuing restrictions, changed all of our lives, and the way in which we did things.
Alpha was not designed as an online course then, yet, under the guidance of Rev’d Mike and Linda Clarkson, who had run several courses at Holy Trinity Brompton, London, we launched our first Alpha within All Saints in June 2020, using the Zoom platform.
Alpha worldwide now uses this method of running the courses and has adapted their resources accordingly. Sceptical at first, they have now found that Alpha Online is bigger and better, reaching far more people, and therefore changing many more lives for Jesus.
We are now affiliated with Alpha Portugal, who have helped with training and resources, although all our course material is in English.
We can offer each course with Portuguese subtitles, and subtitles are also available with the English version for the hearing impaired. Meeting the requirements of our guests is all part of the course.

All Saints Anglican Church Algarve is an Anglican Church (part of the Worldwide Anglican Communion) providing contemporary and relevant worship with strong Biblical teaching for the 21st Century.

One live and in person at 11am on Sunday Morning the Convent in Lagoa in a safe socialy distanced environment
The other live, interactive and on line, providing a virtual worship service at 10.30am on Sunday Morning
