The Rotary Club of Albufeira has recently strengthened its international dimension through the reception of visiting Rotarians from several countries, promoting cultural exchange, friendship and cooperation between Rotary clubs from around the world.
In recent weeks, the club welcomed Rotarians from Canada, Brazil, England, Austria, France and the United States, reinforcing Rotary’s spirit of international understanding and service.
During the latest meeting held in Albufeira, the club welcomed John Younie, incoming President of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Northeast (Canada), together with his wife Joey. Experiences, community projects and common challenges faced by Rotary clubs worldwide were shared, while future opportunities for cooperation and friendship were also discussed.
The Rotary Club of Albufeira believes this growing international dynamic represents an important opportunity to affirm Albufeira not only as a tourism capital, but also as a place where cultures, ideas and community service come together.
As Rotary International promotes this year’s message “Unite for Good” and prepares the upcoming theme “Create Lasting Impact”, the Rotary Club of Albufeira aims to continue building bridges of cooperation, friendship and lasting positive impact both locally and internationally.
The club is also preparing the celebration of its 55th anniversary on June 16th, marking more than five decades of community service, friendship and international connection since its foundation in 1971.
