Bryan Jeanes, set off on Friday to complete a 3000 km ride through Portugal on the Trans Euro Trail,Algarve resident, Bryan Jeanes, set off from Tavira on Friday to complete a 3000 km ride through Portugal on the Trans Euro Trail, on a 250cc AJP (Portuguese) Enduro bike. He is hoping to raise €3000 for local charity, East Algarve Families in Need.
Bryan, Pinko and the motorbikeHe has already received €485 of donation, so he and Pinko Flamingo (the mascot) are well on their way! Pinko is already enjoying the limelight, with his own hashtag #pinkoflamingopt and several posts and videos on Facebook about him.

Having left the Algarve on 2nd October 2020, Brian will be riding a 250cc dirt bike for 3000 kms from the south of Portugal to the north and back. Approximately 80% of the trails will be off-road.

"At the age of 67, this will be my first ever such adventure. With only a little recent off-road riding experience, this will be a challenging ride in many ways. As there are many variables and possibilities I cannot guarantee that I will ride the complete distance. Therefore I am asking that people donate for every kilometre that I actually ride, or a fixed amount for trying," Bryan explains. "Many people here have been badly affected financially by the ongoing pandemic and I will be very grateful for every donation that will provide for them. It will make my journey more worthwhile."
