Solidarity Golf Tournament raises €2305 for mental health charity

This activity is part of this Rotary year's goal of supporting mental health.

This event was sponsored by the Municipality of Loulé, the Parish Union of Querença, Tôr and Benafim represented by Mr. Manuel Gaspar and the Parish Council of S. Sebastião, represented by Mr. Jorge Martins.

Fellow Rotarians from Loulé clubs were present, including Secretary Arlindo Martins, from Olhão, President of the District Professional Services Commission Ana Paula Ferreira, from Portela, District Secretary Solange Falé, from Lisboa Norte and Almancil.

In the end, five awards were given and recognized by the Rotary Club of Loulé, the partner entities present in this action, Quinta da Ombria, in the person of its Director of Golf, Dr.º Salvador Macedo, UNIR, in the person of its Vice- President Dr. Fábio Bota and the Rotary District 1960, represented by Solange Falé, District Secretary.

The godmother of the Tournament, Dr.ª Maria Helena Baptista, also Vice-President of the Rotary Club of Loulé, delivered the symbolic check, with the amount raised in the Tournament, in the amount of €2305.
