Birdwatching afternoon with a guide. The bird ringing in the morning and the lunch at O Caseiro do not have the same small number limitation, so you can book those events for either day at your leisure, but the guided tour needs swift action.

afpop Silves Area Event – 13/03/2026 Quiz and lunch
Join us for a quiz and lunch at Victoria’s restaurant, opposite Poço Barreto railway station EN269 road, between Silves and Algoz. Friday 13th March 1.00 to 4.00pm. Price per head €22.00 Members, €24 for non-Members and friends. Drinks not included. This includes a donation to the Bombeiros.
Starter - Bread, Olives, Butter, Paté & Cheese / Main - Cottage Pie or Vegetarian Cottage Pie, served with Fresh Vegetables / Dessert - Apple Crumble served with custard or Vanilla Ice Cream served with Cream / Drinks to be paid at time of ordering. afpop Portimão Area Event – 17/03/2026 Tour of the Sardine Canning Factory 
We will go through the production line, with detailed explanations of each stage and direct interaction with their few staff. At the end of the tour, we shall have the opportunity to taste some of their finest products and visit their shop, where they sell canned fish as well as other typical regional products. Special discounts for afpop Members. Please note that the visit takes place in a real working factory, where activities and processes vary daily depending on numerous factors: the production team's planning, sea conditions, the arrival of ingredients, logistical needs and hygiene and food safety requirements.

Time: 10H00 (the visit will start at 10H30)
Duration: One hour and a half +/- (we'll be standing up, there are no seats available)
Price: 11€ per person - 13€ non-Members

Parking: in the streets around the factory. It's an industrial area, so it can be busy.
