Talks
Our history presentation for March will concentrate on Portugal´s role in the Great War, and the consequences of its participation.

But for this small country participating in a Europe-wide war, the outcomes were nothing short of calamitous. In particular the effect on the civilian population of Portugal was unforeseen, and the validity of the new First Republic itself was called into question. Join Peter to discover the fate of Portugal after the end of the war, and what effect the Versailles Treaty had on Portugal itself.
These presentations will be given in the Municipal Library Tavira at 11:00 on Friday 20th March and the Municipal Library Lagoa at 18:00 on Tuesday 31st March and are free.
