The Algarve summer arrives in full on Saturday’s solstice, the longest day of the year. The Algarve is settling into 27°C afternoons, warmer seas, and long, golden evenings that stretch past 9pm.
The festivities are already underway. Tavira begins nine nights of riverside Arraiais with sardines, music, and garland-lined streets.
Carvoeiro transforms its beach and square into a giant dance floor for its famous summer night, while Lagos marks European Music Day with live performances in Praça do Infante.
