One last blast of summer arrives this week, with temperatures reaching 37°C in Faro, before the heat breaks on Thursday. The weekend settles into clear skies, 27–31°C and a 23°C sea — near-perfect beach weather, just as the crowds disappear.
With the Algarve back at work, the week turns to art, food and music: 68 artists open their studios in Olhão, Loulé hosts the country’s biggest vegan fair, guitars ring out in Estômbar and Porches, and Santo Estêvão stages the East Algarve’s oldest autumn fair.
