Synonymous with the Algarve coast – Gregory Mason paints dramatic sea and sky-scapes. A prize-winning artist at the ‘Applied Art Open Exhibition’ in the UK, his work can be seen exclusively in Portugal at Galeria Côrte-Real near Paderne.
Despite heavy rains during the days before the event, Quinta dos Vales’ visitors were greeted at the “Open Door 12” with beautiful sunshine.
Last Sunday approximately 3,500 visitors strolled through the grounds of the estate, enjoying numerous dance and music events, both on the panoramic terrace above the sculpture garden as well as in the newly opened “Cave de Bacchus”. They also viewed and participated in art and handicraft workshops, new sculpture-paintings, several live paintings and ceramic works of befriended artists.
Algarve Nature Week starts this Saturday and runs until April 19

There were angels in Almancil on Friday 27 March when local artist Uschi Kuhn held the first ever public exhibition of her paintings.
The theme of the paintings was angels and in addition to the paintings Uschi has written a book, again with an angel theme entitled ‘Yes, Life is about learning to dance in the Rain’.
On 27 March 2015 at 6pm, Uschi Kuhn will open an exhibition with paintings of her Guardian Angels. Simultaneously, a book will be presented that tells the story of the angels.
Uschi Kuhn has dedicated her book and paintings to all women in the world. The female power is very important for peace on this planet.
