The Rotary Club of Estoi Palace held the first of its two annual quiz nights at A FlorestaRestaurant on the 8th of May. Quizmaster for the night was Shirley Dunne and it was a closely fought battle between the 10 teams taking part with only 1.5 point separating 1st and 2nd.

The Rotarian’s Wine Appreciation Fellowship is pleased announce the results from the recent wine tasting and dinner held at Restaurante/Garrafeira Veneza near Paderne. Seventy-three happy wine lovers packed the Garrafeira to enjoy the wines of Herdade do Mouchão near Évora in the Alentejo. Each wine was presented by Mouchão Director David Ferreira Marques and then paired with appropriate food. David had so much fun talking to those in attendance that he even forgot to eat the duck course!
More than 150 people - and 54 dogs! - attended the first-ever Costa Vicentina Fun Dog Show held at Vales, Aljezur on the Algarve’s West Coast last weekend.
And the event, held in aid of local animal charity AEZA, was such a success the organisers pledged to repeat it next spring.
On Sunday 4 April, Quinta shopping held an Easter party to raise funds for Algarve childrens charity ACCA.
