Turismo do Algarve has launched its new website, now online at www.visitalgarve.pt with a new layout and updated content, it also is mobile friendly and many parts are in different languages.
According to the tourist board, "the new promotional portal now presents a contemporary and appealing image with dynamic content and intuitive navigation."
The revamped website aims to provide visitors with information about the region's varied tourism offerings through a set of innovative and interactive tools that promote greater tourist engagement and a more satisfying visit experience.
The portal has information about the municipalities, main tourist products, suggestions of places to visit, experiences to be had, cultural and walking routes, digital guides and a list of events.
"More and more people are using digital tools before, during and after their travels to improve their experience.
“Social networks and mobile applications have transformed the travel and tourism sector, so it is essential to develop new content and channels to strengthen the online presence of the destination and reach more domestic and foreign tourists, "explained Desidério Silva, the current president of the tourist board.
