Another death on the Algarve's notorious EN125

INEM125A collision between two vehicles on the notorious EN125 on Sunday morning, left one person dead and five injured.

The crash happened at the Vale Formoso area, near Almancil.

Emergency services were called out at 06:42 am, and firemen and an INEM medical team rushed to the scene. An INEM helicopter stood by but was not needed.

One person was declared dead at the scene and the injured were taken to Faro Hospital.

The removal of the vehicles involved in the accident and clearing the road took two hours before traffic was back to normal.

According to data from the National Road Safety Authority, to the end of July 2018, a total of 20 people have died in vehicle accidents in the Algarve.
