Warm weekend ahead, especially in the Algarve

sunnyA warm weekend is on the cards as temperatures are set to rise to between 20 and 26 degrees Celcius over mainland Portugal.

The Portuguese weather service commented, "A gradual increase in the maximum temperature is expected in the coming days. At the weekend, the maximum temperature values ​​should vary between 20 to 26 ° C and between 17 to 20 ° C in the interior regions of the North and Centre.”

The predicted temperature range is above the average for the time of year, with Sunday expected to be 7 to 9°C above normal.

"The minimum temperature will rise slightly on Thursday, with no significant changes until the weekend, with rises ​​in the Algarve of between 10 and 12°C," added the welcome note.

"From Thursday afternoon there will be an increase in wave height along the west coast, with waves from west to northwest between 2.5 and 3.5 meters.
“Along the south coast of the Algarve, south-westerly waves are expected to be 1 to 2 meters high," concludes the statement.

Would suggest that you look at a correct weather forecast for the Algarve where daytime temperatures are set to fluctuate between 15c and 18c during the next 15 days and today stand at 16c.
