According to information advanced by the IPMA, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere, an earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale was registered on Tuesday morning, 11 June, at 10:27.
The Continental Seismic Network sensors picked uo the sizable earthquake, whose epicenter was located about 80 kilometres Southwest of Cape S.Vicente in Sagres.
The IPMA confirmed that it has not received any information confirming that this earthquake had been felt on the mainland.
