19 More Covid-19 Cases Confirmed In The Algarve

19 MORE COVID-19 CASES CONFIRMED IN THE ALGARVETodays data, just released from the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) shows 19 new cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve over the weekend.

Most cases in the Algarve in the last few days are related to known transmission chains, already under investigation, in the municipalities of Vila Real de Santo António, Castro Marim, São Brás de Alportel and Olhão. One of known chains relates to a care home in Olhão, which has been confirmed as having three new cases.
It has also been reported that there is an outbreak in the Roma community of Portimão.

In the whole of Portugal, the number of new cases since Friday was 425, less than what has been reported in recent days.

Unfortunately, data also shows four more deaths in Portugal from the coronavirus, three in the North and one in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley. The cumulative total of deaths since the start of the pandemic is now 1931.

Cases are scientifically meaningless, based as they are on an inappropriate and unreliable test. It's not unusual for annual flu deaths in Portugal to be over 2000. Covid is nothing unusual except in terms of the premeditated and organised criminality behind the governmental and corporate media response.

"In the whole of Portugal, the number of new cases since Friday was 425, less than what has been reported in recent days. "

The number of new cases and deaths reported always falls at the weekend so I would not seek consolation from this.

The reality is that the reported daily averages for the last 2 weeks and the previous 2 weeks have shot up:
To today (28/9) New cases 674 Deaths 6
To 14/9 New cases 470 Deaths 4

Unfortunately, according to the DGS, there are currently 659 people hospitalized of which 98 are in ICUs. Only 1 week ago there were 518 of which 61 were occupying ICU beds.
