A GNR soldier, born in the parish of Ponte S. Vicente, in Vila Verde, died early yesterday Monday after a collision between his motorcycle and a rubbish truck in Almancil.
João Luís Santos, 28, served in the Territorial Subdetachment of Quarteira was off duty when the accident occurred, just after 23:00 hours on Sunday night.
The GNR registered the occurrence and the accident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Center for Traffic Accidents (NICAV).
